1.Wood description: zebrano is a heavy hard wood with a somewhat coarse texture, with the typical so-called zebra stripes,often with an interlocked or wavy grain. zebrano is a pale golden yellow, distinct from the very pale colour of the sapwood and features narrow streaks of dark brown to black. 2.Properties:zebrano is considerably harder than red oak,and even northern maple. It is very durable,and highly resistant to termite attack,also has good gluing properties. 3.Workability:zebrano need quarter-saw,minimizes the high degree of warping that can occur when the wood is seasoned.sometimes be difficult to obtain a clean, smooth finish.Veneers need to be carefully handled to avoid cracking. |
